Mumbai Port Trust has recently announced notification for the recruitment for the posts of Pilot Marine Engineer and Apprentices post.All the eligible and interested candidates who are willing to join hands with Mumbai Port trust as pilot,marine engineer and apprentices can apply for the posts.
Applications are invited from SC/ST/OBC/General candidates for the posts of Pilot and Marine Engineer in Marine Department for appointment on regular basis or on contract basis:

Name of the post and number of Vacancies:
PILOT:05 posts (1 SC, 1 ST, 3 OBC)
Eligibility Criteria and Qualification:
Candidates must possess Certificate of Competency as Master (Foreign Going) issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India and one year post qualification experience as a Master/Chief Officer of a foreign-going ship.
Marine Engineer :01 Posts
Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification:
Applicants must acquire Certificate of Competency as 1st Class Engineer (Motor) or (Steam and Motor) issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. One year post qualification experience as Chief Engineer on
a foreign going ship.
Last Date to Apply for the posts:22 July,2014
Age Limit For Pilot and Marine Engineer posts:
For regular appointment,upper age limit is 40 years (Age Relaxation as per govt rules).
For appointment on contract basis maximum age for working as Pilot is 65 years and for Marine Engineer, is 70 years, subject to medical fitness, every year after the age of 60 years.
Remuneration:
Candidates can expect a payscale of Rs.32900-58000 on the PSU pay pattern for appointment on regular basis.
In case of appointment of the candidates on contract basis,the pay scale is variable and you can get the details about the remuneration in the official advt which you can find at the end of this post.
